Raising a Generation of Faithful Leaders Church of Pentecost Pakistan
God placed a vision in Shulammite Nasir’s heart to bring the Alpha Course to Pakistan through the Lakemount Worship Center Canada. With full support from the Church of Pentecost Pakistan, this vision became reality.
Together, they translated Alpha materials into Urdu, making the course accessible to believers across the nation—and opening doors for honest questions, deeper faith, and life-changing encounters with Jesus.
The Mission Behind Alpha
- Alpha Pakistan exists to:
- Help Christians rediscover their faith
- Encourage open, honest conversations about God
- Equip youth and leaders to stand strong in their beliefs
- Multiply disciples across Pakistan
- At its core, Alpha is about creating safe spaces where people—believers and non-believers—can explore life, faith, and meaning together.
Alpha Leader Training
- In collaboration with the Church of Pentecost Pakistan, now with over 27,000 members, Alpha launched its leadership training event.

Resources & Reach
- All Alpha content was translated into Urdu and printed locally
- In just 3 years, Alpha reached over 12,000 people through more than 500 Alpha groups
- Alpha is now active in:
- Universities & colleges
- Law firms, hospitals, orphanages, and old age homes
- Slums, brick kiln communities, and adult literacy centers
- Even in red-light districts and street outreach
- Alpha is being led by pastors, bishops, yaouth leaders, doctors, lawyers, evangelists, and everyday believers passionate about sharing Jesus.
The Impact
- Alpha’s simple approach—eat, share, talk, learn—has been embraced across all walks of life in Pakistan. People feel safe, heard, and welcomed.

Challenges & Learnings
Due to rapid growth, Alpha Pakistan faced unexpected challenges with logistics, materials, and coordination. The Church of Pentecost staff stepped in, ensuring smooth operations.
- Going forward, the Alpha team is planning for scalability, increased support structures, and expanded training for new leaders.
