Christmas Peace Prayer Train

A Journey of Faith and Unity in Pakistan

The Church of Pentecost Pakistan proudly shares the story of the Christmas Peace Prayer Train—a powerful expression of faith, peace, and interfaith harmony across the nation.

Faith in a Challenging Context

  • Pakistan, located in South Asia, is the fifth most populous country in the world, with a population of over 227 million. While Islam is the state religion, Christianity is the third most practiced faith. Christians make up around 1.2% of the population and often face discrimination in various aspects of life.
  • Despite these challenges, Pakistan remains one of the few Islamic countries where the Gospel can be publicly shared—thanks to constitutional protections that guarantee religious freedom.

The Christmas Peace Prayer Train: A Vision Realized

The Church of Pentecost Pakistan launched a bold initiative: the Prayer Peace Train—a journey of worship, prayer, and hope from Lahore to Karachi, covering 1,295 kilometers and stopping in 24 major cities.

Though initial plans were delayed due to lack of funding, the Federal Ministry of Railways approved the event after the Church agreed to cover all costs. Within just 48 hours, the team organized and prepared the train.

The train was officially inaugurated by Federal Railways Minister Muhammad Azam Khan Swati and Rev. Dr. Jamil Nasir, marking the beginning of a historic celebration designed to promote peace, unity, and the love of Christ.

Worship on the Move

At every city stop, the Church team stepped out to worship, pray, and share the Gospel. Crowds gathered—some requesting personal prayers, others asking for Bibles or Christian literature, which were freely given.

Before continuing to the next destination, the team blessed each city, declaring a message of hope, faith, and transformation through Christ
