Compassion Ministry

Bringing Hope, Healing, and Dignity through Christ

Serving the Least of These

  • The Church of Pentecost Pakistan is devoted to living out the Gospel through practical love and compassion. Our Compassion Ministry reaches out to:
  • The poor and needy
  • Orphans and widows
  • Victims of natural disasters
  • The homeless and jobless
  • Brick kiln bonded laborers and their families
  • We are committed to uplifting the oppressed, educating enslaved children, and restoring dignity to the brokenhearted—regardless of religion, caste, or gender.

The Lord’s Table – A Daily Act of Love

For the first time in the history of Pakistan, the Church of Pentecost Lahore has launched “The Lord’s Table”—a free meal served every day to:

The hungry and homeless
Orphans and widows
Travelers and job seekers
Anyone in need, without discrimination

  • People sit together on the floor, eat in fellowship, and experience the hospitality of Christ. The Lord’s Table Committee faithfully maintains the kitchen and serves every meal with joy and humility.
This daily act reflects the inclusive love of Jesus, breaking social barriers and building community.

Freedom and New Beginnings: 18 Girls Rescued and Married

  • A Cry from the Kilns – January 2024
  • During a church service in Sheikhupura District, attended by International Missions Director Apostle Emmanuel Agyemang Bekoe, a group of women approached Dr. Jamil Nasir, National Head of COP Pakistan, with a heart-wrenching plea.
  • Many of them worked in brick kilns, earning just $1.50 a day, while another $1.50 was deducted toward unclear debts. They were trapped in generational debt bondage—and so were their daughters.
  • Now of marriageable age, their daughters were facing the same fate. The mothers feared that borrowing money for dowries would push their families deeper into slavery.

The Church Adopts 18 Daughters

  • The Church of Pentecost Pakistan responded with grace and boldness, choosing to adopt all 18 girls as daughters of the church.
  • The church committed to:
  • Providing complete wedding arrangements
  • Supplying dowries and household items
  • Hosting public wedding celebrations with dignity and joy

A Historic Wedding Celebration – December 6, 2024

On December 6, 2024, under the leadership of Dr. Jamil Nasir, the church organized a mass wedding ceremony at the kiln grounds in Sheikhupura.

18 couples were joined in holy matrimony

The brides and grooms signed their certificates together, then joyfully cut the cake to celebrate

Each couple received full dowries, including:

Bedroom sets, wardrobes, kitchenware, and bridal attire

The event blessed over 54 families, bringing hope and joy to an entire community

The Gospel in Action

These efforts are more than charity—they are living examples of the Gospel. The Church of Pentecost continues to serve those bound by poverty, pain, and persecution with a heart that reflects the love of Christ and the spirit of the Good Samaritan.

“He has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor… to set the oppressed free.”
Luke 4:18
